Do look at my other resources on this as this is great short book but will do for a half term or beyond !

There`s a Pharoah in our Bath comprehension lesson and activities - levelled and 3 stages within this - you can differentatie accordingley as it contains blank sections to longer answers to do with inference in the later challenges - attached Powerpoint and worksheet - I have done this with Year 3 and year 4 and it has gone very well and gets the children working more than you ! A stand alone Iron Man lesson with a BBC link to the video of him at the top of the cliff - A great build up lesson for the class to describe him using their senses and feelings and then write an extended piece on as the 3 colours which are at three levels. Feel free to use and enjoy the children I have done this with in 3 different schools have really found it useful and enjoyed the lesson,

A great Powerpoint to continue the story from where the Iron Man landed at the foot of the cliff - this to be used in conjunction with the class book The Iron Man by Ted Hughes - I have also modelled an example of mine to give them an idea of what and how to write rather than a balank page . The lesson went very well for a longer write and planning session

A Stand alone piece of descriptive writing - Big Write style based on a fairground - sounds and video within this and an example piece of writing to improve Year 6 thought this was very helpful as it addressed all the senses and the basic example they all could verbally improve and write then to greater depth - A good stand alone lesson !

A great resource that my colleague and I completed over a 1/2 term in the afternoon lessons to build a car out of wood and plastic - wheels parts etc we bought off EBay and YPO catalog for the children who completed one between 2 - this used their maths skills, construction skills and science forces skills as they have to build an elastic band powered car that would hold a 1kg weight and travel down the school corridor - It went really well as a project that we ran for 2 different year groups. This would work for early secondary school DT also and is a great cross curricular lesson and activity - any questions do ask away !

An ASK IT lesson game to be completed in pairs on A3/A4 paper. The example used as a Reading/English lesson at the beginning of the new book or new unit - ideal for new term and fits great with World War II theme - This example can be adapted to fit any text however - children loved this lesson, child centred approach and gets them really thinking about what they are reading - Modelled on the RIC approach and can easily be adpapted to suit all levels from Year 3 and upwards -

Maths starter ideal for year 3 and 4 - I found this a great way to engage the class as they came in from break or lunch and is a great settling activity to get them on task A super way to start the day also !

A stand alone lesson in regard to the pros and cons of tourism in Tourism - this I did to a Year 6 class on the topic on mountains within a Geography lesson - enclosed video also and for points of discussion with the plenary part of this - if the video doesn`t play I can send you this seperatley - Basically a stand alone lesson which worked well and could easily fit Key Stage 3 also

A railways project activity sheet for homework to complete over a term study and learn in a different way - A fantastic way of engaging the children into the subject and study !The presentations were great to see and this give them real scope to be creative and an easy homework to mark !

Embedded clause lesson ideal for year 5 and 6 and geared to children of all abilities with clear progression ! Ideal for the first teaching of this and as a class - Super progression from the activty sheets also - The headteacher gave me good with outstanding for this lesson ! Enjoy and use as you see fit !

Pronouns and enclosed worksheet through this PPT presentation - ideal for year 3,4 and 5 and with included progression - I have used this for a few years and year groups now and they like the entertainment within the slides and engages all the children throughout - enjoy !

North America Compass Geography lesson ideal for Year 3 and 4 and is suitable for SEN children - clear and concise steps on how to use a compass in order to complete the activity within the powerpoint - ideal stand alone lesson ! Would work very well with a mixed aged class e.g 3 and 4 or 3,4,5 and 6 !

Christmas activity pack - ideal for the run up to the end of term ! Full of word document resources to easily print off and photocopy and will keep a class settled particularly when routine goes out of the window in regard to Christmas plays visits etc ! Enjoy !!

A great basic resource in order to show how to draw bar charts for children in years 3,4 and 5 clear simple and no fuss ! A great starter input piece for a lesson on data handling !

Complete lesson on re telling a section of the Stone Age Boy story with an example we discussed in class - this is then levelled off into yellow blue or red sections and can be differetated accordingly - A great lesson with not that long on the carpet ! I have used this for year 3 and 4 now and each time the lesson has gone really well with the kids producing some great writing following the story ! I hope it is of use to you and can be adapted to suit your class !!

Another Iron Man resource with this time a modelled piece for the children by me and attached resources in the Powerpoint I wrote this with little pictures of the Iron Man at the top of the kids books - choice of colours to add which level of work they wish to complete also - this is I believe a typical 80-20 lesson with the kids doing the 80 !!
