A powerpoint and series of slides and stand alone lessons for Ancient Egypt - the slides can be adapted and printed as you see fit and are ideal for children in years 4,5 and 6 - a great starting point to develop further knowledge and creates a good theme aspect to the afternoon !

Alphabet challenge activity - ideally for transistion or to lead into a PE lesson if it is too hot for running around PE !!! Identify around the school grounds 2 or more things that begin with that letter as the example e.g p- playground and then get the kids off identifying their school environment ! Ticks the outdoor learning box ! And can be used well across all age groups even secondary if needed !!

Short Andrew Goldsworthy flipchart on Art outside - I used this with a year 3 and year 4 class to inspire them and we ended up making some great pieces of outdoor art following this introduction particularly using the outdoor area - I have also used this for an enrichment activity as a whole school for a morning in the autumn term and went very well in the school grounds ! Do enjoy and adapt to your kids !

Stone age to iron age flipchart - ideal to start the topic and build upon as the term goes on - great lesson ideas for the week and term here - The kids did love the activties here to engage in the topic !

Iron man painting in the style of Roy Lichtenstein - and information Powerpoint folowed by resources and ideas and instructions for the kids to paint the iron man face with picture to print also in order to help you do this - A great painting lesson I have now completed with years,3,4 and 5 whilst studying The Iron man book and the cross curruicular links are fantastic here ! A super opportunity for kids to get painting !!!

A short powerpoint on drawing hands to then replicate and build upon to draw the Iron man hand escaping from the trap - I did this with a year 3 class who to be fair stuck at it well and we created some great pieces of work -This would be great to do over 2-3 weeks as I did to support them I would perhaps show them a video on the drawing of hands also - Great lesson though for an afternoon to focus on theme - Art and DT - feel free to use as you see fit for your class whilst studying the Iron man !

A flipchart for a number of lessons based on a theme approach for the Iron man - this includes making a trap for the iron man, and other stand alone activities that would be very helpful to cover in a theme approach particularly covering art, DT, geog and history, in addition to thought provoking discussion on a PSHE slant throughout. Ideally used as a class approach with the book which is great story ideal for years 3,4 and 5 as these resources are also ! Enjoy !

Pack of word class cards - ideal for the children to practice and revise key word classes - ideal for spag practice and revision generally throughout the school year with display also here- I got the class to write the particular word on the word class display sheet to create and add to the working wall - A great and invaluable resource and suitable for all year groups for Key Stage 2 in addition this can be used across school and particularly helpful for year 2 ! Maths starter ideal for year 3 and 4 - I found this a great way to engage the class as they came in from break or lunch and is a great settling activity to get them on task A super way to start the day also !

Grandma warning poem to revise word classes and a fun way to build upon earlier learning with accompanying activity sheet within the PPT a great resource and is appealing to all Year 3,4,5 and 6 children I have worked with this ! A super stand alone activity !

A study on Galileo related to science and Space and discoveries ideas etc - then once the children have seen and watched this they write this up as a study as a class - all were really engaged and would suit years 4 and 5 well - great for something a bit different to !

Jesse Owens assembly with you tube link within it and additional colouring resources if required for the children - Ideal for key Stage 2 children and it leaves a thought provoking message to all ! Great for that Monday morning when you run out of ideas !!

Rosa Parks assembly - a great piece to show year groups 5 and 6 and is pretty much stand alone - do read through the powerpoint and look at the information - thought provoking and worked well with older ones as I say

Harry Potter letter of persuasion lesson ( hopefully the video clip is in the PPT also ! ) Staged and structured with an example of mine included to show the children what I expected in the lesson - This is then self levelled when they write with the coloured areas different levels of ability included also ! The year 6`s who I taught this to responsed really well to this lesson and liked it stimulus and structure ! great writing also came about with it ! Enjoy and I hope this helps !
