An Ask it style stand alone lesson to introduce the story of Charlie and the Chocolate factory - This would be ideal for an Englis/guided reading session and went down brilliantly with my Year 4 class this last time ! It get them thinking about the text, what and how it is written with a plenary with thought provoking questions to build upon for lesson 2 ! The kids loved it and would be ideal for years 3/4/ and 5 ! Any queries do be in touch !

A year 5 rounding off lesson - Ideal to introduce the topic to the class - can be adapted to any year group though and can be used as you see fit in regard to the starter or end of the lesson - Really got the class thinking about the concept of rounding off - Would be also good to teach to a mixed age class to revise and or further their work and consolidate learning.

Air resistance Science lessons 1 and 2 - ideal stand alone lesson with included slides and activity sheets for the class ! Although this is aimed at Upper Key Stage 2, Year 4 and 3 could easily access the materials also and the activity sheets within this - There is 2 completed good to go stand alone separate lessons here but they could be edited to cover a short 4 or 5 week term as necessary

A great resource that my colleague and I completed over a 1/2 term in the afternoon lessons to build a car out of wood and plastic - wheels parts etc we bought off EBay and YPO catalog for the children who completed one between 2 - this used their maths skills, construction skills and science forces skills as they have to build an elastic band powered car that would hold a 1kg weight and travel down the school corridor - It went really well as a project that we ran for 2 different year groups. This would work for early secondary school DT also and is a great cross curricular lesson and activity - any questions do ask away !

North America Compass Geography lesson ideal for Year 3 and 4 and is suitable for SEN children - clear and concise steps on how to use a compass in order to complete the activity within the powerpoint - ideal stand alone lesson ! Would work very well with a mixed aged class e.g 3 and 4 or 3,4,5 and 6 !

Book and character work in this regard - ideal for either a guided reading session or English themed work for a few days - pictures and text all there and activities within the Powerpoint - feel free to use as you wish - my year 5 class loved it and we did a mixture of work within this as necessary ! Christmas activity pack - ideal for the run up to the end of term ! Full of word document resources to easily print off and photocopy and will keep a class settled particularly when routine goes out of the window in regard to Christmas plays visits etc ! Enjoy !!

A whole stand alone lesson on compound sentences with word resources to show progress over a lesson - The inspector said he liked the lesson ! It is a well paced Powerpoint then explains clearly to KS 2 the use of a compound sentence and how to use them - they then put this into practice by using the activities within the attached word document This took a 50 minute lesson and all children accessed this really well - I have done this to years 4,5 and 6 and it has worked well - I hope you find it of use either for a lesson or revision tool

Complex sentences - A stand alone lesson with included resources to print and a self coloured pleanary for the children to show their understanding of complex sentences and use them in context etc - This is a powerpoint although as I say needs the last slides printing off for the activities - any queries do message and I`ll happily help !

A great basic resource in order to show how to draw bar charts for children in years 3,4 and 5 clear simple and no fuss ! A great starter input piece for a lesson on data handling !

A great Spag revision tool that will work with any age group from Year 3 to Year 6 ! Ideal to embed learning ! Information on word classes through the poem and then completed workheets to revise them further still with creative progress to make and design their own ! All the children I have used this on have really enjoyed it and learnt a great deal ! Any questions do ask away !!

A great Powerpoint to work on chunking in relation to estimating ! A warm up on the first few slides revision and work on division followed by coloured slides challenges that get harder and a plenary to focus on at the end of the lesson to see how the children have gone on ! A great starting point and is clicked at varoius points - any queries etc do be in touch !

Fractional part lesson within the powerpoint with a good starter attached to do with money and value followed by explaining the fractional part and its uses generally also accompaying worksheets with short activities on - I have done this with years 4,5 and 6 and has worked very well ! The SLT liked the progression of the lesson and activity also - any queries do message !!

A powerpoint ideal for the introduction of a Stone Age topic in conjunction with the book Stone Age boy - it get the children to ask questions through the text on what could be going and what more they want to find out about for this time period - Ideal for years 3 and 4 however could be adapted to years 2 or 5 - I did this for a half term but next term will strech this topic out for a full term - would also work for mixed age teaching ! A selection of powerpoints I have used to years 3,4 and 5 to work on Venn diagrams with worksheets for the children to work at accordingly - In all the cases and times I have done this it has gone very well - could easily be adapted to year 2 and as a revision guide to Year 6 children. A Stone Age writing to describe lesson; to describe what they see, smell etc through the senses using a picture prompt to help them enclosed in the powerpoint - I then gave each child a picture of this to stick into their books we planned and talked through it using the template idea here and they with the example put this together - The class of year 3 then year 4 really enjoyed it and we got some great writing from this creative writing session- any queries etc do ask !!

A bundle of resources ideal for both the Stone Age Boy book and Cave Boy book and Stone Age topic in general This is includes reading and writing (English and guided reading) resources, differentiated resources and whole lessons via the powerpoints here in addition to levelled comprehensions ideal for years 3 and 4 as I have taught - can be easily adapted to suit your classes !! This also includes 3 big write stand alone lessons with examples and information which would easily see you a half term or more ! There is also a few other bits I have edited for other DT Geog based or topic based within this. This would be ideal for an NQT to use or a more expereinced teacher looking for somewhere to start with such a new topic ! I do hope this is useful !

Complete lesson on re telling a section of the Stone Age Boy story with an example we discussed in class - this is then levelled off into yellow blue or red sections and can be differetated accordingly - A great lesson with not that long on the carpet ! I have used this for year 3 and 4 now and each time the lesson has gone really well with the kids producing some great writing following the story ! I hope it is of use to you and can be adapted to suit your class !!

Sword in the stone reading and writing comprehension ideal for KS2 particulary mixed aged class ( mine!) this activity/lesson went really well to improve reading skills ! Different children read different parts then we discussed key words and phrases - then all of the children completed the attached activties within this Powerpoint identifying word classes intially to improve SPAG skills then developing their reading comprehensive skills with some inference also - Headteacher walked in mid lesson and really liked what she saw ! I hope this helps as a stand alone reading activity or English lesson !
