I am an experienced, dynamic, successful teacher and manager at department level. I have taught and been a senior manager with responsibility for mathematics in the primary sector. In the year 2000 I moved into the secondary sector where I became head of mathematics at two secondary schools as well as head of year. I enjoy managing and working with students, teams and departments in challenging circumstances. My expectation of myself and others is high. I have succeeded in leading departments forward to improved maths results. I have good communication skills with staff, parents and pupils. I have taught in Italy and France in the international sector up to International Baccalaureate and A level. Currently I am a mathematics adviser/SLT in Suffolk working in the primary and secondary sector, advising on and managing the change of delivery methods, target setting, assessment and planning. I have worked in the international sector teaching maths to IB and A level.
