This booklet has enough resources to cover a full half term (or longer) of Blues music. There are enough tasks to cover homework, classroom activities, SMSC knowledge and much more.
The overall project is to be able to perform a piece of blues music, whilst understanding about improvisation and the 12-bar blues. There are additional tasks such as blues lyric writing.
There are two files - the word document, which can be edited to suit your own school's layouts and a PDF showing the original layout designed for my old school to give you an idea. The original file was designed on a mac so some images on the word document may have moved around a bit. Referring to the PDF will allow you to easily correct any such errors.
I use this resource with my Year 9 students in a Musical Futures-style project. Students learn all of the different band parts to Boulevard of Broken Days by Green Day and then form bands. Assessment is the final performance.

Attached is a mock paper based on the 'AoS 5 - Conventions of Pop' part of the listening & appraising paper. The mock is based specifically on the Rock N' Roll era of the Area of Study.
There is also a bespoke audio file laid out like actual GCSE listening exams so that students can adapt to how the exams will be on the day. The front sheet for the exam is laid out exactly like the OCR exam front sheets.
The exam has 4 questions and is worth 40 marks - exactly half of the full exam. Question 4 is a 'longer answer' type question. The audio extracts are:

This is an excel document that calculates a student's final grade based on their scores in composition, performance and listening & appraising.
All you have to do is enter the student's scores a final 9-1 mark will be provided. Information has been sourced directly from OCR Music specialists and through CPD events, but all formulas and rules within the excel document have been added by myself.
Student targets change colour based on if they are on, below or above target. All grade boundaries are provided on an alternative tab. Formulas have been added for up to 20 students.
