Recently my GCSE AQA Performing Arts students visited the Nottingham-based venue Rock City. They did this in order to learn information that is vital for their Unit 1 coursework. Whilst there we conducted interviews and learnt about the history of the venue.
To collate information, I have since put together all of the interviews and information that can be used for their coursework which provides enough detail and variation for students to gain top-end marks.
This resource is also perfect for BTEC courses, such as revision for the Unit 1 exam or for industry-based research to compliment coursework.
My school is the only one to have ever visited Rock City on a private tour so the information gained is not available on Wikipedia or other music job-based websites. This resource is invaluable for students to gain additional industry-based context.
