Guided Music Listening
This is a great resource for older music pupils to develop their listening skills. There are 5 pages that support the recognition and development of specific music terminology related to musical elements. The final page is a listening chart that encourages addressing all of the musical elements when listening to a piece of music.
Music Vocabulary
This is a great reference tool for students who want to develop music-specific terminology. There are 8 pages of vocabulary defining words that are often used to describe structure, harmony, melody, rhythm, dynamics, articulation, tempo, texture, instruments, music history, and music technology. The same 8 pages are then copied for you twice to make this as adaptable to your lessons as possible; once with the terminology and no definitions and once with neither words or definitions. Hopefully, you find this as useful as I have for reinforcing music terminology.
Music Comprehension Worksheets
5 printable worksheets designed to strengthen musical comprehension. Students are asked to examine a short excerpt of written music and identify or define musical terms and symbols followed by a short notation exercise on each page. These worksheets are designed for students of moderate musical experience.
