Design & Technology AQA (9-1) Non Exam Assessment (NEA) Preparation Checklist
I have created a checklist to help pupils prepare for their Non Exam Assessment so that they have an understanding of the potential expectations. The way I have planned it is by giving this to the pupils in Y10 so that they fully understand how to create an NEA in Y11. I have used the context ‘Teanage Lifestyle’ but you have the option to change it.
This NEA prep checklist covers:
Section A - Identifying and investigating design possibilities (10 marks)
Section B - Producing a design brief and specification (10 marks)
Section C - Generating design ideas (20 marks)
Section D - Developing design ideas (20 marks)
Section E - Realising design ideas (20 marks)
Section F - Analysing and evaluating (20 marks)
Each section has broken down tasks on potential points to include.
I also give pupils an exisitng example so they know how the work should look like. The example I use is on the EAQA website (Boarding House Lamp 91/100)
