I have adapted this resource to show how the units of the CACHE EYP level 2 qualification can be gained through reflective accounts for knowledge and practical evidence. It allows for learners and assessors to sign to validate the evidence. I find that it helps the learners keep on track and for placements to know what is expected. This resource supplements observations and other work products.

This is based on the text book, but I have made it into a work pack that the students can work through either independently or with teacher support. After each section there are a few multiple choice questions.

This is the complete unit for unit 10 with a power point to support the assignment writing and a work pack to help prepare for the assignment. I have found the assignment work pack helped with the assignment writing. The students completed the work pack by themselves over the Christmas period. This has helped them with their assignment.

I use this to support with standardisation exercises of observation of learners. Works well to help students and placements know what is expected.

These are just two of the optional units used for the CYPW level 2 qualification.

This meets the criteria for taught section of the course. I have included plans for observation and a tracking sheet for the mandatory section of the qualification. There are unit plans for for individual units and holistic plans for assessors to plan for cluster assessment. The Power points could be used as work packs for students to gather evidence

We teach year 9 Childcare, but do not follow an industry recognised scheme of work, I have used the CACHE level 1 course to create a few work packs. This gives our learners the underlying knowledge they need to start the level 2 course in year 10. These workpacks are used each week for one lesson, and last a term of learning. A unit about observations. I usually teach this alongside the longitudinal study unit as it is easy to cluster assess.

I have used many of the wonderful powerpoints available on TES for this unit 5. They have been great. I have created an assignment help for once the assignment has been set. I have also created a workbook that will help students write the assignment. I used this booklet after each section in order that they structured their thinking. (This is before the assignment had been handed out) By using the booklet and then the information on the worksheets, this helps them to create an assignment. This has been helpful to students who are lacking in self esteem to write such a long assignment. I have added as a word document and a pdf. I have added a small booklet for section A in the hope that it is more visible… Please feel free to change word document if you want to. Your feedback is welcome.

Planning booklet to show students what Longitudinal studies are and how they can be used. Longitudinal study worksheets and this links observation unit. The analysis is included in this. One power point to help support students with the analysis of the longitudinal study. I go through this with the students once they have completed their longitudinal observations and activities.

4 packs of revision. This is unit 3 for the ACDC qualification. This is unit 1 and unit 2 combined. I print these on coloured paper and for some students print on A3 paper. They read and highlight the key words and answer the questions at the end. This works well for our students.

Two power points giving the information for the unit 3.6 supporting emergent maths development. I have also included the blank presentations that can be printed and given to students.

A variety of resources for the play units 3.1/3.2 and 3.4. There is a work pack for 3.2 and 3.1 and power points for 3.1 and 3.4. I have included the observational assessment criteria which i made into a work pack for students to complete in placement. This covered all observational criteria for units 3.2 and 3.4. It allows for cluster assessment. For some of the power points i have uploaded the plain power point as well as the colourful one. This is because i often print my power points out to support students with learning needs. It allows me to print or photocopy on to buff paper.
