This unit of work is for reading to go with the non-fiction book called “Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World” written by Kate Pankhurst.
The resource has split the book into 3 sections which is designed to last over 3 weeks, however it can be adapted to suit your learners. It contains 10 reading comprehension questions and a follow-up task for each section of the book. You could use the questions for discussion with a group or use them for written reading comprehension.
There is also an answer guide for the comprehension questions.

Task map with 8 different independent tasks to go along with the novel, Letter to Pluto by Lou Treleaven. This book is in the brown book band. The task map is based on Bloom’s questions and as such the questions/tasks are split into those six categories.
The tasks will usually be enough to cover in a week/2 to 3 reading lessons.
There are 5 task maps, each with 8 different independent tasks to go along with the novel, The Last Wolf by Michael Morpurgo. This book is in the grey book band. Task maps are based on Bloom’s questions and as such the questions/tasks are split into those six categories.
