They really engaging well with these different activities and got very creative with the variety! Was a fantastic short scheme, which could also be an intervention, which could also be used for level key stage 3/4 across the year groups. Many thanks :)

A level English Literature results tracker

This A level tracker is written for the Eduqas spec but can be easily adapted. This tracks all the assessment marks given to the pupils for their practice assessments in class, mock exams or actual exam results. You can easily change the texts if they are not what you are studying. You simpy enter the results over the year and then it caluclates their total score for the course, depending on the grade boundaries for the year you can covert that score into a grade. There is a tab for year 12 and 13 so you can track progress over the course. Many thanks :)

This lesson is a great one off big write lesson for any key stage, but this is aimed at year 10 (easily adapted). They have to write using the title 'The attack' in which they can use vocabulary from 'Charge of the light brigade' and the lesson also goes through how to achieve top band, inspiration from Jurassic Park, model example and writing frame. Please note I couldn't add the Jurassic Park extract as it wouldn't upload, but the clip is from the same section of the novel if you need to find it. Many thanks :)

This is written for a GCSE group but can easily be adapted. Using Mrs Beeton's book of household management, pupils analysis a section of the text to consider the theme of responsbility. Pupils will consider how Mrs Beeton's views on modern women would have been portrayed, analyse a piece of text and create an analysis concluding with peer assessment. There are also two overlays that can be used with any piece of unseen text. Many thanks :)

Key Stage 3 English Language Exam Prep

A lesson, which could stretch over two, 1 hour, periods this lesson prepares key stage 3 for a practice language exam. This lesson is based on the sample AQA English Language Key Stage 3 paper which avaliable on their site, I cannot put this as an attachment due to copyright laws BUT this is very easy to find on the AQA site. The lesson walks the pupils, step by step, through question 1,2,4, and 5 by using model examples and top tips to answer each questions - there is also time for the pupils to have a go at this question too. Question 3 is omitted from this ppt as we don’t include it on our own examination for key stage 3, but it can be easily added if required. Many thanks for looking :)
