This bundle of 8 lessons introduces learners to the marketing mix, we start off with an introductory lesson looking briefly at all four Ps of the marketing mix.
We then go on to focus on price, looking at a range of pricing strategies, and this is consolidated with a group activity where students decide which pricing strategy is the most appropriate in four different scenarios.
Then we look at the product life cycle, this is illustrated with plenty of real life examples to help students contextualise their understanding of the topic. We look at how a businesse products can be categorised in the boston matrix.
Then promotion, we look at a range of promotional techniques and real examples, this is consoldiated with group activity to develop a brand and present it to the class, there is a worksheet to guide this.
We finish with place, the different types of distribution channels, the benefits of e commerce and m commerce.

This lesson introduces learners to different types of corporate strategy such as Ansoff’s Matrix and Porter’s strategic matrix. We start by looking at Ansoff’s and the four types of strategies involved here, each with their pros and cons. We then go on to read a brief case study on a plumbing company, wth a 4 mark question and a model answer to self assess with.
We then go on to look at Porter’s strategies, again each witht their pros and cons before looking at the difference between tactics and strategies. Finally a case study on Toyota and their strategy. This case study comes with a 4 and 10 mark question, both with guidance and concise model answers for peer assessment. An interactive kahoot quiz with the link to the game to consolidate the day’s learning.

This double lesson introduces learners to the different organisational structures. Real life examples, a group task to assemble an organisational structure to consolidate key terms such as span of control, chain of command. We then look at pros of cons of the different types of structures including centralisation and decentralisation. We look at how communication is impacted through the different types of structures.
The second lesson is on job roles and looks at each the different roles include, with a research task to find out what types of jobs, for example a manager, director, assistant might be doing in a business of their choice.

This five lesson bundle starts by introducing learners to revenue, costs and profit. Each of these is broken down to the core, students will get it! Lots of calculation practice to consolidate this. A 9 mark question with a case study and model answer for students to aspire to and peer assess with.
A lesson with a game where students are in groups and must make the most profit by charging the best prices for their business, a live scoreboard to see which team is performing the best.
Break even is broken down to the core also, and again lots of calculation practice. A task to draw BE graphs, the spec doesn’t require this but it will extend their knowledge on the topic.
A case study where we look at the pros and cons of using BE and whether it is useful in a given context.
Finally a lesson on average rate of return, this is broken down step by step, with a few examples so students know exactly what is required, in a concise way so it’s easy to absorb.

This lesson introduces learners the difference between mergers and takeovers, we start by looking at the reasons why businesses may want to merge or acquire a firm in another country, e.g. to gain access to a trade bloc like the ASEAN. We then read a concise case study on the cement industry and how acquisitions have played a big role for these firms, a 10 mark question with structure guidance given and a model answer for students to peer assess with to build exam technique.
Another concise case study and exam style question, but this time on a merger rather than a takeover, guidance and model points included to again help with important exam skills.
Finally, a research and homework task to conclude.

This double lesson introduces learners to marketing in a global context, building on the knowledge from theme 1. We start by looking at three main types of marketing strategies then go on to look at’Glocalisation’, and the best example of this which is Mcdonald’s. A short engaging video on how Mcdonald’s has tailored their foods to countries around the world, followed by a concise case study on the same topic for consolidation.
A few activities followed by another concise case study on Mattel and how they launched Barbie in China, but ultimately failed, due to an incorrect marketing strategy. Students attempt a 10 mark exam style question on this, with structure guidance and a model answer provided which can be used for peer asssessment. Finally we look at the Ansoff’s matrix to help decide when risk is involved.

This lesson introduces learners to the causes and effects of change, we start by looking the what causes change, such as changes in size, poor performance and transformational leadership. We then go on to look at the effects of change before looking at a case study on a supermarket which has suddently improved performance after a new CEO joined.
A 12 mark question on what caused the change with structure guidance and a concise model answer for students to peer assess with. I have included a peer assessment grid which is similar to how examiners assess essays and this could be a good tool for students to understand what makes a top band answer. A research task and box plenary to finish with.

We start with going through the 5 purposes of accounting before looking at the two types of income, we look at examples of each to ensure full understanding of these terms. We then consolidate this with a game of play your cards right’ where statements are shown and students have to guess whether it’s capital or revenue. We then go on to looking at the two types of expenditure with depreciation. An independent research task to consolidate learning aim C.

Learners are introduced to the different types of profit. We start by looking at a step by step animated example of a pizza shop’s income statement. This is followed by an engaging consolidation activity of completing an income statement for Ian Beale’s fish and chip shop, answers are provided on the board for students to self assess. More consolidation with a question for Arjee Bhargees income statement with answers.
In the second powerpoint, we start by looking what a balance sheet is and what it is made up of including the key terms. Once this is consolidated, we break down a balance sheet into 3 stages to simplify understanding this. Plenty of practice for students to make their own balance sheets as well as with a template first - answers for all questions provided on the powerpoint.
In the third powerpoint, we’re focusing on cash flow forecasts and how to construct a cash flow forecast from scratch step by step (although this isn’t required it helps understand the topic well). Students then go on to consolidate this by creating a cash flow forecast for Ian Beale’s fish and chip shop, some further calculation practice followed.
This is followed by a 12 mark question on cash flow forecasting based on Ian Beale’s forecast. Structure guidance and concise model answer for students to peer assess with. Two links to kahoot quizzes on the topic and a box plenary to finish with.
