In this lesson, learners are introduced to the social exchange theory.
We start with a discussion on how a romantic relationship can sometimes be similar to business or economics. We then look at the social exchange theory with a focus on rewards and costs. We look at how individuals may compare their relationships to see if they are in ‘profit’.
