This lesson is an overview of Anglo-French relations from 1485-1603 looking at the changes to foreign relations with France throughout the period. This was used to review and recap the period for revision with my AQA 1C Tudor England group.
This lesson also contains a 25 mark knowledge essay that I set as a homework for the group, plus an interpretation as a starter activity.
This lesson covers the key elements of Elizabethan government from 1558-1603 in line with the AQA specification. Students develop their understanding of privy council, local government, parliament and key ministers.

Students have found this a useful document for structuring their notes and focusing their revision.
This is a bundle of revision booklets for OCR Modern Worlds covering the Cold War from 1945-79, USA 1919-45 and Post-War Britain. This is aimed at a wide-range of abilities, enabling students to bring together key words and important information in an accessible booklet.
The booklet includes: a list of key questions that they sould be able to answer, as outlined by the exam specification; consolidation questions so students can organise their revision notes; timeline activities and sources to evaluate. Students are encouraged to look at the message, content and context of a source trhough completing a grid activity which has improved students' source work.
There are also OCR B style essay questions for student to practice, complete with space for structured planning (including prompts on making a judgement which enables them to access the highest marks).

This includes a recap of the key information about the Religious settlement, followed by a selection of A Level style 25 mark essay questions (AQA) and an extract question for students to complete.
This works well for a revision task or a home activity where students have to read through the information then attempt on of the following questions. Also includes a simplified mark scheme to allow students to self assess their work and then redraft.
