I use these with my A Level Literature class. There are 82 slides in total, broken down into 5 sections.

A 9 page booklet centred on the presentation of Eric Birling in Act Two of An Inspector Calls. This booklet uses consolidating tasks and visuals to help students get to grips with the plot, key quotes and a practice question. I use this to assist my students’ understanding of the play each time that I teach it.

NEA Coursework Poetry Recommendations - A Level English Lit B
I have researched a range of poets and collections of poetry for the NEA Coureswork for AQA A Level English Literature B - focusing on the critical perspectives of Feminism, Postcolonialism, Ecocriticism and Marxism. From this, I have collated a list of poets, collections, a brief overview and key themes. I have included about 30 poets in total, which should be plenty to get any A Level Literature class started on their coursework with some guided choices. This is a pdf file and 6 pages in total.

An Inspector Calls x4 Workbooks Act 1 and 2
Four booklets which take students through Acts 1 and 2 of An Inspector Calls, through 4 key characters: Mr Birling, Sheila, Gerald and Mrs Birling. In chronological order, the booklets contain recap tasks, quote analysis, plot tracking, contextual analysis and practice questions to support their study of the play.
Macbeth Group Drama Tasks
Four key extracts (1.1, 1.5, 1.7 and 2.1) with accompanying drama tasks, for students to work on in small groups. The tasks are designed to encourage students to consider the performance aspect of Macbeth, such as how to vary their tone, volume, facial expressions and body language in order to portray the different characters.
An Inspector Calls Booklet 6: Inspector Goole
This is a 7 page booklet exploring the Inspector’s role in the end of the play. It takes students through the final scenes in An Inspector Calls, with analysis questions exploring the probable identities of the Inspector. It also closely analyses his closing speech, and the family’s differing reactions following this. I use this as an aid to assist students’ annotations of the play.

A 11 page workbook to support students in their reading of the first section of An Inspector Calls, focusing on the presentation of Mr Birling. This includes quote analysis, contextual information about capitalism and a practice question at the end. This was created for a lower ability class who benefitted from visuals and tasks to aid their study of the play.

A 10 page booklet centred on the presentation of Mrs Sybil Birling in Act Two of An Inspector Calls. This booklet uses consolidating tasks and visuals to help students get to grips with the plot, key quotes and a practice question. It also explores Priestley’s intentions and the class expectations of the time. I use this to assist my students’ understanding of the play each time that I teach it.
KS3 Language Paper 2 Non-Fiction Texts about "Food"
A 16 page language paper 2 booklet containing non-fiction texts about “Food” for a complete scheme of work. This was designed to introduce KS3 to the skills of: comprehension, comparing, identifying language techniques, summarising, synthesising and writing non-fiction for transactional text types. Texts include “death by chocolate cake” advertisement, restaurant reviews, a recipe, vegetarian vs meat eating persuasive opinion pieces and Bill Bryson travel writing: Junk Food America. All texts have comprehension questions or analytical tasks. The booklet also contains writing tasks for students to complete.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde booklet Ch1-2
This 16 page booklet starts with contextual information about Victorian London, through analysis of Hogarth’s “Gin Street” artwork. The booklet then works through a range of tasks and information to assist students in their study of Chapters 1 and 2, such as quote analysis, recap questions, a practice exam question and other relevant contextual links.
