A fantastic and flexible resource on one A4 sheet with an additional instruction sheet if needed. Students are required to create their own compound time rhythms using the given symbols of note lengths, rests and time signatures to support them as they learn to compose more interesting and complex rhythmic ideas.

A fantastic and flexible resource on one A4 sheet with an additional instruction sheet if needed. Students are required to create their own rhythms using the given symbols of note lengths and rests to support them as they learn to compose their own rhythmic ideas. This has more choice than my ‘basic’ rhythm creator worksheet and provides differentiation for the classroom. This is purposefully missing a time signatures section to avoid confusion. Teachers can direct students on which time signatures to use as and when they teach them.

LARGE PRINT ELEMENTS OF MUSIC LISTENING MAT

In large print and suitable for most VI learners. An invaluable resource for GCSE and advanced learners in KS3. All the elements with clear, more detailed, meanings and descriptions on one A4 sheet. This is helpful when students are learning to describe music as they listen to it. It can be used for a quick, verbal activity, and to give extra support during written listening activities. It can be laminated and handed out, or can be for students to keep for a revision and reference aid.

This ‘listening mat’ has all the information included and can be used as a listening aid when you are teaching students to talk about the structure of the music. It can be used as starter or plenary activities, or as a main aid for a listening activity. They can be laminated and re-used as required, or can be set as home work.
