A worksheet for pupils to learn the steps of mitosis for the AQA biology new 2016 SOW. DOES NOT go through specific phases, just interphase, mitosis then cytokinesis.

Really simple poster with plants key words to colour in, use as revision mat, start of topic cover sheet. Has diagrams for roots, root hair cell, palisade cell, guard cells, then key words. Good for sen to introduce key words. I give it to them then they have to research the key words.

I use this with my year 7's to show progress and to plan for future lessons. At the start of the topic they do the test by just highlighting the answers they think, we quickly mark and make a note of what they get. At the end of the topic we do the test again to show how far they've come. A single sheet to create a meiosis folding step by step revision aid. You only need to print on one side to save on photocopying and pupils can either stick the steps on the inside or the outside depending on how they want to learn or revise it. This has gone down very well with my year 10 and 11's. I should note this does not include the actual phases as it is designed for the new 2016 GCSE specification.

All the key words for the B3 module "infection and response" Print them on card double sided and the key word is on one side with the definition on the other. Very useful for revision, vocal lists and SEN pupils.

A poster with key terms nucleus, diploid, haploid, chromosome, gene, allele. Then a worksheet where pupils fill it with information, cut along the dotted lines and staple as instructed to make a revision foldable.

A powerpoint for active transport. A worksheet to go with the powerpoint with fill in the gaps and a graph exercise. Pupils then do a large venn diagram for Active Transport, Osmosis and Diffusion. Pupils cut out the boxes and then stick them into the correct sections. All answers are on the powerpoint for the sheet and the venn diagram. Then recap of objectives at the end.

Laminate the posters, printed in colour double sided. These can be handed out to share. The pupils get the foldable - cut along the dotted lines and fold along the solid lines. They can then used the laminated sheets to write information under each flap of the foldable. As a plenary pupils can do the crossword and/or word search for which there is a differentiated version and an answer sheet. A whole lesson on specialised cells sorted!

Quiz cards for the whole of the B3 infection and response unit of the new AQA scheme of work. They cover every aspect of the specification. They can be printed on card or paper and pupils use them to quiz each other. The correct answers are in bold and underlined. An easy to follow presentation and worksheet allowing pupils to carry out the required practical on osmosis in potato chips. It includes a worksheet with two tables - one for results and one for making up solutions of salt. I have also included an order sheet for apparatus. The powerpoint takes pupils through the practical and has answers to all questions as well as example data and an example graph. This has worked really well with all of my classes right through year 9-year 11 and all abilities.
