I have a BA from SOAS in African History and MA in Contemporary History from Bristol University. I have been teaching history in secondary schools in the UK for the last 12 years and I have been department head since 2018. I also now teach KS4 Catering and Hospitality and KS3 Food Technology. I have a background in catering and I am enjoying creating lessons that make cooking fun and accessible to all, as well as building a range of skills.

This lesson uses an engaging topic for year 6 or 7 students to introduce the idea of historical sources and PEE paragraphs. It focused on the differences between the experiences of first and third class passengers. There are a three activities and then links to some excellent eye witness accounts. SEND scaffolding has been provided. I often use this lesson as a transition or summer school class for new year 7’s and its always really enjoyable.
