Comedy SOW (Inspired by the Mischief Theatre Company)
This resource was designed for KS3. It includes 6 x 1 hour detailed lesson plans and PowerPoints, along with many scripts, all editable on Word. This comedy scheme of work covers Farce and Slapstick Comedy in depth, through exploring scripts from the Mischief Theatre Company’s plays and through devising performances that ‘Go Wrong.’ It is perfect for the Autumn term approaching Christmas as 3 lessons are based on ‘A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong’ and a ‘Nativity Goes Wrong.’ However, these could easily be adapted to other stories if being used another time of year. For example: Harry Potter Goes Wrong / Alice in Wonderland Goes Wrong etc. This SOW covers the following:
