Lateral Thinking Puzzles are a great way to start a lesson or use as a brain break. Have them on Interactive Whiteboard displayed as a classroom entry activity. Give the students 5 minutes to solve the riddle or puzzles before revealing the answers. Great discussion starters as many of these may have more than one answer or explanation. These can also be used for fast finishers as problem solving tasks. Students really enjoy the Optical illusions included in this pack. Included is 1 PDF which can be easily saved on any storage device. A great addition to any relief teacher's bag of tricks. Suitable for middle primary to lower secondary students. Answers included where necessary.
These 10 worksheets are a fun way for your students to practice their addition facts to 20. Students are able to compare their sheets with others as a self correcting exercise.
A great addition to any Relief Teaching Resource. Look out for more additions to these printables with different themes, which will ultimately be available as a bundle. For now it is a work in progress!!
Enjoy these and don't forget to check out the other brilliant affordable resources
Use these fun Halloween themed subtraction worksheets as an early finishing activity, or to practice subtraction of numbers up to 20.
Activities are self correcting, as students are able to compare their finished products to see if they get the same result.
Why not check out the addition bundle too,
This is just one of the resources included in the larger bundle from the 'Ultimate Relief Teaching Survival Kit' or from the Numeracy Printables bundle.
A sweet resource that can be laminated and cut up as puzzles and then used in numeracy rotations, or as an early finishing task.
Perfect for re schoolers or Kindergarten aged students.
Great graphics including number frames, the word cards, dice for subitising and matching numbers of unicorns.
These would also make great laminated mats to use with whiteboard markers or with playdough to reinforce number concepts
How to use this resource
These fun mats can be laminated and used to match the animals of the students choosing to go and live in the trees.
As laminated sheets students can use them to put matching playdough apples etc in the trees, trace over the letters and match counters or playdough in the ten frames provided.
With larger numbers, students can use these as a dice game and see who can fill their tree first with the exact number shown on the mat. If you are looking at the number 8 and the child throws a 2, then they know they will need to throw a 6 or any combination that adds to 6 to complete their tree. If they throw a number that is too big, then they miss a turn.
These mats can be used as part of group rotations with students filling all sets of cards as an activity.
Suitable for pre-school or early kindergarten students.
