Revision task to use at the start of the lesson- what do students remember on the families topic? An answer sheet has been included. Takes approx 30 mins of the lesson including answer feedback. Based on what answers students get wrong you can direct them to focus on that for revision.

Students can first of all see how much they can do from memory, and then use their notes/ textbook to help complete. Both sheets would take two lessons to complete (50 min lessons).

I give this to AS students when revising for the exam- I recommend that they learn the names of 25 sociologists that they can refer to in the exam. So this becomes a crib sheet that they make their notes on and use to test themselves and each other.

Printed on to A3, students work independently- it’s double sided with exam questions to check understanding as well. Students can do this from memory, or use a textbook/ class notes to help complete it. It would take an hours lesson and students can finish it for homework.
