Phonics VC Word Blending Spinners
**Teach your class to read 2 letter vowel-consonant words with this fun phonics activity! Children should spin the spinner and then blend to read the word which they land on. FUN hands-on learning for your literacy lessons!
The following are included in colour and b/w:**
*Spinners with 3 VC words
*Spinners with 4 VC words
*Spinners with 6 VC words
*Each set of spinners displays the following words:
it, in, is, if, an, am, at, as, up, us, on, of
*Recording sheets (also in colour and b/w) are provided with 3, 4 or 6 spaces to write VC words.
For best results, print the spinners on card, laminate and cut out. You will also need paperclips and split pins to make your pointers. You might also want to laminate the recording sheets so that they can be used again!

Teach your class to read words containing phase 3 vowel digraphs and trigraphs with this fun pack! Digraphs and trigraphs included are ai, ee, igh, oa, oo/oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi, ear, air, er.
Children should say the sounds as they drive their car past the birds and then blend them together to read the word.
Road mats with the following words are provided (one word per mat):
ai: rain, wait, sail, pain, tail

VC Word Blending Games and Activities
Teach 2 letter VC words with these hands-on dinosaur themed games and activities. Your class will have so much fun while they learn to read the VC words! All resources are low-prep and provided in colour and B/W.
Included are:
VC word cards and a page of ideas for games/activities.
VC word fans (Laminate, cut out and fasten using a split pin or treasury tag). Children hold up the correct letters to make given VC words.
VC word craft pages to decorate using paint, pens, sequins, etc. These pages could also be laminated and children could make the words using dough.

Editable Phonics Word Games and Activities
**Five editable games and activities for teaching high frequency words, topic words or other words of your choice. Simply type your 10 words (up to 11 letters long) into the word list at the beginning and they will automatically be inserted into every game and activity! LOW-PREP and endless fun!
Included are:**
Sandcastle Sprint board game (in colour and B+W), instructions, playing pieces & die – make your way around the board, saying the words as you go! Who will be first to reach the sandcastle?
Words, Waves & Other Things game (in colour and B+W) - search for and read tiny high frequency words in the beach picture, using a magnifying glass. Children could make a list of the words which they find and compete to find the most!
Roll and read game (in colour and B+W) - roll the die and read the words in the matching column.

Number Recognition Activity
Teach your class to recognise numbers to 20 with this fun maths activity! Children should say the number as they drive their toy car past the sign and then count the number of birds in the picture. This number recognition activity will ensure FUN hands-on learning for your maths lessons!
The following are included in colour and b/w:
21 number road mats (numbers 0-20): children should drive their toy car along the road from left to right. When they reach the sign they should say the number. Children can then count the number of birds in the picture.
Number car flashcards (4 pages). These could be used for assessment purposes or children could match them to the correct road mats.

**Use this doubles and near doubles activity to develop fact fluency within 10 and 20! There are 3 levels of difficulty to ensure that your lesson is differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils. **This phase 2 high frequency words activity will help your class learn to read and write! Children should blend to read the word, cut and paste to make the word and finally write the word. FUN hands-on learning for your phonics lessons!
The following are included in b/w:**
32 activity sheets, each containing 1 of the phase 2 high frequency words to blend, paste and write. The tricky word activity sheets are labelled ‘read, paste and write’, as children do not yet have the phonic knowledge to be able to blend these.
To complete the activity the children will:
Press the ‘sound buttons’ underneath each sound and blend to say the word.
Cut and paste the correct letters to make the word.
Write the word themselves! Children who are struggling to write could make the word with magnetic letters instead!
