This lesson is perfect to for students learning how to create their own SQL databases using DB Browser and SQLite. In this lesson the pupils create an SQL database using DB Browser (free software) which helps them understand what tables are, the importance of field names and the data types used in an SQL database. It also introduces them to the concept of primary keys. Although pupils are not using Python at all in this lesson and are instead using DB Browser it sets them up for the next lesson in the series (available from here) which does allow them to start interrogating an SQL database using Python.
