I am a highly experienced teacher with at least six years delivering the Cambridge International Education Curriculum. Have taught Chemistry and biology at Key Stage (KS) 3, KS4 (IGCSE) and AS & A Level while preparing learners for their final CIE examinations. In a bid to meet the varying needs of learners in my class, I have adopted the international key approaches to learning which include: Active learning, Assessment for learning, Differentiation, Language awareness, Metacognition and Skills for life. These have helped to create an inclusive learning environment. In an attempt to demystify scientific concepts, I have embraced various teaching strategies like practical lessons, demonstrations, computer assisted videos, learner projects, group discussions, learner independent research. My calm, friendly, optimistic and professional disposition has enabled development of lasting relationships with learners, staff and parents.
