I tried to make this topic a bit more engaging to students by adding an activity with a funny song (Flight of the Conchords-Foux de Fa Fa) and a creativity task (dictionaries needed!) for the final writing activity. A resource inspired from an MFL workshop led by Gianfranco Conti. I chose this song by George Brassens as I find him very articulate and clear to listen to and this song contains many cultural references (Le Radeau de la Meduse, Fluctuat nec mergitur etc.). The purpose of this activity is to help students to focus on French phonetics. It is aimed to help students understand the sounds produced by certain combinations of letters (ie eau, on, ou, au, en) in French.
