This is a Scottish National 4/5 History lesson on the impact of WWI on the Rise of the Nazis. Students study the political and social environment in Germany immediately following WWI and how these conditions led to an angry populace looking for answers.
Students then complete exam style source questions which will help them pass N4 units or the N5 exam.
This Unit of Work is specifically designed for the National 4 and 5 History course in Scotland. It covers all the required topics students must know to be prepared for their exams, and includes regular practice source questions (including timed), scaffolds to help them improve on their responses, and a variety of tasks to help them better their understanding of Scotland and the Great War.

This unit of work is aimed at an S3 or Year 9 History class.
This program looks at the development of Apartheid in South Africa from early colonial origins, through the changing laws and governments, and finally to the end of Apartheid in 1991-1994. There are also two practice exam style source questions for the Scottish system with scaffolds on how to complete them in order to begin preparing them for their senior courses.
The criteria for the assessment are based on the Scottish system, however could be easily adapted.

This is the third lesson in a unit on Communist China under Mao. It is designed for S3/Year 9.
In this lesson students will learn about the Chinese Civil War, and the strengths and weaknesses of Chiang Kai Shek and Mao. Students need to evaluate why the Communists were able to become victorious.
