This challenge is aimed at upper level pupils. This gives pupils the opportunity to investigate, plan, develop and make a prototype of a new board game. They are then encouraged to Alpha test in their own class then roll out to the rest of the school to Beta test the product. Feedback forms for pupils to fill in are included and these are differentiated for upper and lower stages. An introductory Powerpoint, planner, worksheets and summative reflection activity are all included in this bundle as well. This is a project that all pupils thoroughly enjoy whilst developing worthwhile skills and knowledge.

This resources comprises of two original sketches to be performed by children along with some suggestions for follow up workshops after the short performances. This is intended to be run as a morning/afternoon activity for whole school involvement as part of anti bullying week. It is recommended that only pupils from P4 - 7 take part in the workshops in year groups. If preferred it could be that you could request for some senior drama pupils from your cluster high school to perform the sketches to enable all children to watch or have P7 pupils take on roles to perform. It would be advisable to have a short introduction and questioning session prior to the sketches and a follow up open forum for comments following before beginning workshops.

I have designed this music topic pack with the intention of covering various aspects of music education, along with the ability to include this within an integrated curricular planner. This topic brings ICT in throughout as well as easily lending itself to the inclusion of various other curricular areas, such as language, social studies, science, design & technology, ICT, drama, P.E. and art. This pack would be particularly beneficial if used in conjunction with a topic on the weather/seasons/nature. Elements could also be linked in well to a topic on Europe. Although some of the lessons may appear to be more ICT based than music, the aim is that the children expand their experience in all areas of music while using new technology. Some of the lessons are more traditionally musically based than others, but each one will provide a beneficial learning experience for the children. They are going to be gaining experience in a range of skills and abilities, such as playing instruments, composing, listening and discussing, working collaboratively, using music as an inspiration for other areas, being able to identify techniques used in music to portray different moods and images.

This topic planner and display resources are for use with a cross curricular study with a focus on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K Rowling. All of the signs and display material requires the font Harry P to be downloaded onto your computer if they are on Word format. I have made a number of posters to explain and showcase the pupils work, in line with suggested lessons in the forward plan. I have now uploaded all display posters as PDFs to enable printing of font without downloading it, excepting any that would require ability to edit. The Famous Inventors Project is one that aims to bring Enterprise in Education together with other curricular areas, focusing on S.T.E.A.M. The purpose of the project is for children to learn about Famous Inventors, select a famous and life changing invention to redevelop and design for use in the future then develop and run a mock business to make and market their product. The project culminates in a day of presentations and pitches, allowing the children to demonstrate their learning over the course of the project. This project not only meets many of the experiences and outcomes of the CfE/NC, but can help children develop towards the four capacities, as well as giving a real and relevant context to their learning with a perceivable goal to work towards. This fully comprehensive project pack gives an easy to use, fun and accessible project for upper stage pupils to enjoy. This play script has been written based on the F. L Baum story of The Wonderful Wizard of OZ. This is suitable to be performed in upper stages of primary/early secondary. I have adapted the script to make the performance approximately 1 hour 15 mins if you include songs at the suggested points in the song. I have also included a list of characters required, costume plot and song plot. Due to the licensing surrounding the film and music from it, it is suggested you select other appropriate songs to suit the storyline. This is a super choice for a school drama group or club to perform as a school show. It’s well known and popular with audiences and performers alike and this version gives the school a lot more autonomy over the musical elements or can be used as a play only.
