Are your students studying about vegetables or healthy living? These creative writing prompts ask the students to look at each picture and use their 5 senses to describe the image. What can they see, touch, smell, taste, hear and feel in each picture? They then use these notes to write a fuller, more detailed description of the picture. This is a great way to prepare for the KS1 SATs tests and the KS2 SATs tests while still having a lot of fun!

In September, these are the most common primary history teaching units: Ancient Egypt Relics, Ancient Egyptian Tombs, Ancient Rome, Ancient Roman Gladiators (also has some pictures of Roman soldiers as a bonus!) and life in the stone age.
These presentation packs could be used as PowerPoint presentations, either for the start of a unit, or as an interesting review of the different ideas the students have had during the topic. The materials could also be printed out and help to make an instant display.
These photos are are great way to encourage talking and research in the classroom.
When I am teaching and revising grammar, the big thing I hate it needing to only check all my answers at the end. I like to be able to give a question. Get the students to show their answers on mini white boards and immediately check their answers and discuss why the answer is correct.
I have taken the 2015 SPAG short answer test papers and marking schemes and combined them into a single PowerPoint. There are two different levels of questions, those for Levels 3 - 5 and the more advanced level 6. It is worth going through all of them to both check the advanced groups basic understanding and the other group to inspire them to greater things!

I found a range of different really fun worksheets for children to work with. They focus on developing the finer hand movements. You could laminate them and use them again and again!
I teach in a small primary school. At the end of the day, the children like nothing more than to sit down, and be given a half completed picture and a challenge. They need to complete the picture in their own way. Each pack has 7 different images in it so it can be a fun daily event. My kids love these doodle challenges, I hope yours do to!
Can you spot it is a fun way of teaching words to children. The students needs to find the objects in the picture. You could either print out the worksheet or you could project it on the whiteboard and complete it as a class.

Passive Voice – Future (with will) and Past Simple
Instructions:
You’re involved in helping to organise your school variety show.
You are at a meeting to discuss who will do what job at the variety show. Use passive voice (BE + past participle) to write full sentences using future form with will, to show who is scheduled to do what:
1. a) PHOTOS > TAKE > JOE (STEVEN) The photos will be taken by Joe.
But when the day of the variety show finally arrived, absolutely nothing went to plan! The person in brackets actually did the job in question, so write a sentence using active voice with past simple form to show what actually happened:
