Interactive drag and drop activity in which students must link players to World Cup teams. All 32 qualifying countries are featured but the game will randomly select a set of ten teams each time it is opened and will randomise the order in which they are displayed. Almost never the same game twice. WIll work on PC or IW.
Powerpoint in which an overview of how to say 'the', 'my', 'your' and 'he / she / it / them' after 'mit' is built up one slide at a time. Students can be invited to deduce the patterns from the clues present on slide 1. Once the table has been built up, each subsequent slide has a single item missing, so you can play Kim's Game.
A set of images from The Hunger Games which act as a visual stimulus for students to describe and compare the two very different locations in the story.
Three slides with stimulus questions which students must answer as though they were a character in the film. The first two are relatively straightforward, but the third will require a little imagination. Worked well with an able year 9 class.
Text about awful holiday souvenirs, why we buy them, and what reaction they get. The text is followed by questions in German, a speaking activity and a writing task.
