Sequence of questions relating to Van Gogh's painting of his bedroom. Practice of colour, prepositions, and bedroom objects. For the first set of questions, students can see the painting. For the second set they have to do it from memory. Finally they should compare their own room with Van Gogh's room. Plenty of scope for practice of &'kein&'; as they identify everything that Van Gogh does not have in his room that they have in their room.

A single slide with images of Marvel heroes and characters for pair work. One students must describe the physical characteristics of a character and the other student must identify the character.

Activity featuring the 12 Olympics posters commisionned from artists such as Tracey Emin and Rachel Whitread. The Powerpoint aims to stimulate speculation, discussion, interpretation, a bit of guesswork, and suggestions for titles. Lots of questions in German to structure discussion and (hopefully) get the pupils thinking. The title of each piece can be revealed with a mouse-click once suggestions have been made.

Interactive, self-marking multi-choice quiz on Imperfect forms of common verbs. The file has 60 verbs embedded, but will create a quiz with a random selection of 20 each time it is opened. Just about never the same twice. Works on IW and PC.

The Powerpoint contains a set of questions which form a scaffold for pair work. There is a stop watch on every slide to encourage the students to try to improvise a one-minute answer to each question.
