A useful chart to remind teacher and children of the levels in music

I wrote apiece of entertaining music which is over 9 minutes long so that I could watch the children's sense of rhythm as they played on the claves or tambour to the music. Children who were quite rhythmic made quite complex rhythmic patterns. Its a quick and useful tool for assessment

This popular music is used for calming and focusing the children at any time of the day. I use it as the children enter Assembly.. The images and music are interspersed with snippets of information to keep the children focused. The music is on a loop. I have cut the full performance . I ran the first video as the children came into Assembly.. It sets the mood for a thoughtful approach to the topic ' Bullying ' The second part shows how the problem.was tackled. Listening to the news this morning , I heard an interview with Anna Deutcher. She is a musical prodigy and a delightful child! This is just what I need to inspire years 3 and 4 today and maybe give them an antidote to "Classical music is not cool" You need to be able to view YouTube in your classroom to use this PPT in order to hear her compositions and she her being interviewed.
