With the backing track, you can use it for all sorts of songs according to your topic. E.g. This counting down song is designed for non music specialists to feel confident taking instrumental music. The words scrape, scrape, boom, clink suggest a guiro, a drum and anything metallic. The worksheets -3 - Children examine the completed picture and compare it to their worksheet. They have to identify what is missing and draw their own in the space. I tell them that the photocopier didn't work and they have to finish the picture. The shape dinosaurs could e created on the computer. This little song was inspired by Oliver Jeffers book “How to catch a star” .It is about a little boy who is desperate to catch a star. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens! It can be used as a starting point for an Assembly with scope for movement and triangle players. The song has a triangle part that the children are encouraged to listen out for and then play.
