Visual Timetable

This is a very common resource already used by teachers to visually support routine and schedule. I wanted to make this as colourful as possible in order to make the subjects within it look exciting and intriguing.

Handy Helpers Board

This resource is a great visual aid in distributing jobs to help the everyday running of the classroom. It gives the kids a little more responsibility and gives teachers one less thing to think about! Things you will need to put together: Black Card (Cheap from hobbycraft) Tape to stick two pieces of card together Glue pegs (add children’s names and hook to which job they will do)

Find Your Partner Cards

(0)
Similar to using lollipop sticks, these ‘Find Your Partner’ cards are a useful resource for when a teacher wants to randomize partners for the lesson. There are two of each number so the child can find their partner with the corresponding number. An easy yet effective teacher resource!

Ask Me, I'm An Expert Cards

These lanyards can be used to encourage the children to ask their peers for help rather than always resorting to their teacher first. Having a couple of children who feel confident in what they are doing to be an ‘expert’ allows the class to easily identify who they could turn to for help and will give those who are already confident a bit of a challenge! Encouraging communication such as this in the classroom will also develop teamwork skills in this area.

Praise and Reward Cards

These cards contain small reward ideas that give teachers no extra work! Recognizing a good job enforces positivity and encourages motivation from the children therefore having these small rewards can support this.

Where Are We Chart

I always found it frustrating when trying to find a class or teacher and could not find them. This chart is designed to be placed on a classroom door to inform other members of staff where you will be as an easy way of communication amongst staff and pupils.

I'm finished, what next?

(1)
I made this wall display for two reasons: My class struggle with independence therefore i wanted to create something that promotes decision making and responsibility. This will take pressure off teachers when kids are finishing work at different times as, rather than having to think of tasks to fill the time, they are there and ready to go! The ‘ask me i’m an expert’ lanyards are also available to download1

This is a very common resource but thought i’d share this simple homemade one created on word. Very effective in visually reminding the children of the expectations of the noise levels in the classroom for specific tasks.
