Series and Parallel Circuit Problems

Some problems that I originally set for my IGCSE Physics class. As this moves towards 1000 downloads, you may also want to look at my digital/printable 76 page workbook. Perfect for home learning or for choosing from a wide range of examples as the student is taken on a journey from simple series circuit problems right through to mastery of difficult ‘round the corner’ parallel problems via step by step chunked challenges. It is also an ideal companion for the non-specialist teacher teaching this part of a science award. it can be found in my TES Shop.

Mastering Series and Parallel Circuit Problems for GCSE and IGCSE

(1)
This is my easy to follow problem solving course that will take your students step by step from the most basic application of Ohm’s law to mastery of circuit problems that are greater in demand to any I have seen at GCSE level (based on fixed resistors). It was written and designed to be extremely accessible to the independent learner. As such it is an ideal, high quality resource for remote or home learning. In addition to the excellent learning opportunities, it allows your students to clearly demonstrate progress, not just externally, but internally; I trust it will boost their confidence as they look ahead to future studies. With around 100 problems that are wide-ranging in difficulty, every one accompanied by clearly explained solutions, this is also an excellent reference for a teacher whether you are a Physics specialist looking for examples to use in class, or a non-specialist teaching toward a GCSE level qualification in Science. You can see a video with greater detail about this resource here: On twitter: https://twitter.com/ralphbiscuit/status/1358795596543512579?s=21 or facebook: https://www.facebook.com/My-Learning-Resources-132343702008029?view_public_for=132343702008029 All of the circuits are my original work. Yes, unlike many of my resources, there is a charge for this, but for the huge amount of hours put into it and the quality of the learning progression, for a one-off cost that you can then photocopy or use digitally with your students. I believe it is worth every penny.

Difficult Circuit Problems for GCSE and IGCSE Physics with Answers

(1)
Two worksheets with challenging ‘Round the Corner’ circuit problems to stretch students that are already confident with solving circuits at GCSE and iGCSE level. These might even be challenging to some doing AS Physics. Answer sheet included. (We might disagree on the last digit of some answers, but they are a good enough guide to confirm if the method of solving is correct). These can also be found in my PDF book. Mastering Series and Parallel Circuits at GCSE and therefore give you a further insight into its quality should you wish to buy it from my TES Shop.
