KS3 Science End of Year Revision Cards
120 colourful engaging revision cards covering many topics in KS3 Science. There is a checklist included so that students can keep track which revision cards they have completed.

Pollution Indicators
Working in pairs or small groups of 4, students can be given 40 minutes to fill out the pollution indicator table pulling out information from case studies. Students will discuss and making note of the type of pollution that affect different species and how such organisms is used as a pollution indicator.
Students will be given a time limit of 10 minutes per case study.
4 case studies will be provided. Least able students will complete 2 case studies where as more able students will complete 4.
The case studies task will demonstrate that students are able to identify the role of indicator species and explain why it is important for people to assess pollution levels.
Balanced Diet
Learning Objective:
To explain how an unhealthy diet causes health issues.
In groups students can compare 2 diets, one fad diet and the insect diet and linked them to the components of a healthy diet and evaluate how some diet plans are unbalanced. Students will do this by completing the comparison worksheet which can be found in the lesson powerpoint.
This lesson is targeted to a more able year 8 class.
