Do your students regularly complain about maths not relating to ‘real life’? Help them to start thinking otherwise with this display poster.
You can also use it as a starting point for students to investigate some of these uses of maths, such as maths in music, or to challenge them to find other applications of maths not already mentioned.
3 slightly different versions are included, depending on whether you are a female or male teacher or would like a gender-neutral version.

Use these 10 A4 revision mats to help your students revise many of the key formulae and concepts in the Higher GCSE syllabus. I created these mats to help my students remember the rules they tend to forget!
A ‘fill-in-the gaps’ version of the mats is included to allow your students to actively revise them.
The topics covered are as follows:
Circle Theorems
Geometry and Measures 1
Geometry and Measures 2 (including trigonometry rules)
Graphs
Number and Ratio
Statistics
Functions and Statistics 2
Quadratics
Mixed rules (concepts for proof questions, similarity and congruency, projections, rounding to significant figures)
Algebra (the harder bits: simultaneous equations, surd rules, power rules, simplifying algebraic fractions)
Appropriate for AQA and Edexcel exams and also relevant for other exam boards.

Give your students a chance to revise some of the key GCSE Maths formulae by challenging them to spot all the mistakes in these foundation and higher revision sheets (one A4 sheet for foundation and one A4 sheet for higher). There is also a separate ‘fill in the gaps’ sheet to help students review their circle theorems.
Also included are the sheets with correct formulae (and diagrams showing correct circle theorems) as a helpful revision aid for students.
Included:
1 ‘spot the mistakes’ sheet with Foundation formulae + highlighted mistakes sheet+ correct formulae sheet (Microsoft Word document)
1 ‘spot the mistakes’ sheet with Higher formulae + highlighted mistakes sheet + correct formulae sheet (Microsoft Word document)
1 ‘fill in the gaps’ sheet showing the circle theorems + correct circle theorems sheet (Microsoft Word document)
1 Powerpoint presentation including all the above resources in case you would like to go through them with your class.
These formulae are for the Edexcel Board but will for the most part apply to other boards such as AQA.

Do you find your students make mistakes when multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers?
I find this can sometimes be a problem for students from Year 7 right up to students doing their GCSEs. Use these worksheets to give students a little extra practice with their operations using positive and negative numbers.
The multiplication and division sheet also helps them to review their times tables.
Answers included.
