A simple starter game to be played in pairs - it involves translating as many words and phrases as possible from Spanish to English or vice versa (if you want to increase the level of difficulty). Instructions are on the first page. Appropriate for beginners who have already covered the following topics: basic phrases, colours, parts of the body, family members, animals, weather, foods, likes and dislikes. Digestive system matching activity
rdaryananirdaryanani

Digestive system matching activity

(0)
A set of cards with the names of parts of the digestive system and their functions. Cut these up before use and give a set to each student so that they can match the correct organ with its function. They also have to fill in some gaps in the text. You can also test students by asking them to put the organ ‘cards’ in the order that the food goes through them on their desks (the liver, gall bladder and pancreas will not be required for this activity as the food does not pass through them). They can then stick the cards in their books or copy the notes on each organ into their books. This resource was created for the new IGCSE in Human Biology, but is also useful for students working on other IGCSE/GCSE Biology specifications. NOTE: Organs are currently NOT shown next to their respective definitions so as to not give away the answers in case you would like students to cut up the cards themselves. Text was adapted from the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Human Biology book by Phil Bradfield and Steve Potter. If you find the resource useful, I’d really appreciate a quick review!
