The owl who is afraid of the dark - whole class reading. 7 days if you read a chapter a day. Or can be used as whole class reading prompts. Basic slides for each chapter. Each chapter includes: Recap slide vocabulary covered in the chapter with pictures Questions - partner talk after reading the chapter. This is what I put together for my Y1/2 class. Can be adapted. Powerpoints.

4 weeks of planning and detailed slides and resources (including support and challenges) word banks, stem sentences etc provided All slides and links for every lesson. Suitable for a mixed Year 1/2 class (this is what I teach) but can be used for just Y1 or Y2 Pre- assessment included - we pre-assess pre taught skills at the start of every new unit of work.

6 weeks of whole class guided reading planning for Year 2 on the Hodgeheg by Dick King-Smith. I teach Y1&2 so it is suitable for Year 1 also as activities are simple. Planning based from the VIPERS of literacyshed. All VIPERS are covered. Slides are noteboook and also save as pdf. Learning outcomes/activities attached

Year 1- 6 Writing assessment tick sheet - I tick/date 3 pieces of independent evidence then highlight the objective Grammar has been split over the 3 terms. Only assess what taught that term. This fits with the writing focus/books we are doing for the term, so can be edited. Other NC writing objectives also split over the 3 terms baseline Term 1 - is all previous year grammar they should knowl Y6 TAF (WT, EXS, GGD) statements are on the Y6 one too. Common exception word tick list also attached.
