PowerPoint includes principles of training & methods of training with accompanying worksheets inclusive of practice exam questions and mark scheme answers for self/peer marking as part of the lesson.
There are then 4 x athlete “case studies” where the students must work to design a 4 week mini PEP in preparation for the real PEP, forming cross-topic links and building on knowledge of fitness testing, components of fitness, methods of training and principles of training.
