As a teacher with 25 years of experience I have selected resources that I have produced due to not finding exactly what I have wanted to use to teach my own students. Displays are a key feature for me to ensure the environment in which I teach is engaging, bright and informative, not always just what is on the curriculum, with the hope of widening students interest and knowledge. All resources are original.

In light of the new Required Practicals at GCSE I have used the attached booklet to enable students to consider a wide range of scientific words as well as apply them to individual investigations. Can be adapted to SEN easily by adding more scaffolding and I have used with Year 7’s to Year 11’s. The booklet is 5 A4 pages (including the front cover), divided into sections including Planning, Results and Graph Paper, Conclusion, Evaluation and a series of Additional Questions as well as the Dirt task we use for marking. All can be adjusted or added to.
The resource contains all items to construct a classroom display to show the internal structure of the leaf. All items can be resized and the labels can be printed onto colour card or can have the backgrounds coloured in, depending on your preference.
The attached resource is a basic revision tool that I have used with my students. There are approximately 200 basic recall questions that students can be set to ensure they have the appropriate basic knowledge across all of the Paper 2 aspects of the AQA Combined Trilogy syllabus. The resource has been set as a small part of weekly homework, either as whole sections or broken into smaller chunks. I have spoken to parents and got them to support the students by asking their children the questions and they are comfortable to do this as they have the answers available. I have also adjusted the format slightly and produced mix and match cards for the students to use in lessons. Students have found it really useful to kick start their revision for the GCSE’s.
