Here is a collection of all natural major and minor chords on piano/keyboard, they are all PNG files
Keyboard Note Rulers
These note rulers are designed to fit any standard size keyboard or piano, just print off the sheet onto A3 paper double sided. They can be used as paper but I recommend laminating to increase their lifespan.
Pentatonic Composition SOW
This SOW is based around composition using the pentatonic scale, students will explore the concept of scales and use them to produce a composition. They will have the opportunity for performance and composition in this unit.

Exploring Motif SOW
This SOW is based motif and its use in films and TV shows, student will explore the concept through performance as well as compose their own motif for various words. This unique unit has student compose for a different word each lesson in groups and implements the idea of live performance in a classroom

Reggae SOW
This SOW is based around the genre of reggae, looking at its history and the elements and features found within the genre. Student will explore through performance and composition as well as ensemble skills throughout the unit.

Evolution of Pop Music SOW
This SOW is based around the evolution of pop music, students will explore history of pop music from The Beatles all the way to modern day, and have the opportunity for composition and performance

Jumbie Jams SOW
This SOW is based around Jumbie Jams, a simplified version of a traditional steel pan. In the unit students will learn the proper technique for playing the instrument, experience ensemble performance and composition. Jumbie Jams can be purchased or loaned from various music educational charities.

Songwriting SOW
This SOW is based around the concept of songwriting, students will explore the meaning of lyrics and the relationship with melody through word painting and compose their own songs as a final project.

Exploring the WCT SOW
This SOW explored the western classical tradition looking at the classical era and features, to the baroque and finally romantic era, students will explore composers from the era and perform and compose in each of the styles

African Drumming SOW
This SOW is based around African Drumming, pupils will be exposed history and simple concepts within African Durmming and get to experience elements of composition and performance. It is targeted towards Year 7

Music for Media SOW
This SOW is targeted at year 9 pupils and focuses on how music is used i the media world. The unit ends with pupils generating a random TV show idea and writing a creative and imaginative theme song for that idea.
Other resources such as keyboards and youtube are needed to complete this unit but overall the unit is very simple to deliver.
Minimalism SOW
This minimalism SOW is best delivered to either a year 8 or 9 class with some prior knowledge of chords, rhythm and notation. It walks though what the basic concept of minimalist music is and how minimalist music is constructed.
Pupils have activities on performing clapping music by Steve Reich and composing a minimalist composition based on In C by Terry Riley. The final compositional task is designed to test pupils problem solving and notation abilities and is centered around the idea of metamorphosis in music.
The workbook is designed to be printed on one A3 sheet of paper then folded by pupils to make a booklet. If changes are needed on the workbooks the handwritten sans font will need to be added to your computer
Simply download the file then open the ttf file and click install.
if no changes are needed then I suggest printing the PDF on A4 then using your printers copy function to turn into a A3 booklet
Ukulele SOW
This Ukulele SOW is targeted towards a class of year 8 pupils. It goes through in detail the structure of the instrument, how to read chords symbols and ukulele Tab all of which are transferable skills onto other stringed instruments such as guitars.
A full class set of ukuleles is needed however which may cause issues, but there are charities in most areas which can lend class sets of ukuleles.
For best results the workbook needs to be printed as an A3 booklet and with a stapled binding, edits can be made using the word document version of the workbook.
The Blues SOW
This SOW explores the history of the blues genre of music with a focus on tonality and chords. Each lesson pupils learn about a different element of a standard 12 bar blues piece of music. As a final project pupils design their own 12 bar blues performance in their own creative way.

Waltz and March SOW
This SOW is based around the genres of Waltz and March, pupils will be exposed to the two genres of music and explore how they are constructed. The SOW focuses manly on the topic of metre and time signatures and uses Waltz and March to study these concepts.
