About Symbol Search Puzzles
The Symbol Search puzzles are similar to wordsearch puzzles but instead of searching for words, the student searches for instances of a sequence of symbols.

The sequences used in these puzzles are the element groups of the periodic table.
for example, group I – Li Na K Rb Cs Fr.

Each puzzle has five instances of the correct sequence – the sequences can be displayed horizontally (to the left or right) or vertically (upwards or downwards) or diagonally.
The student has to discover the five instances in each puzzle.
