The end of the year is a great time to reinforce classroom community. This resource will encourage classroom community as the students create meaningful “gifts” for one another. Give each student a class set of compliment cards. Have them write a compliment to each of their classmates. Included is 7 different styles of compliment cards. Each style is two cards per one page. This helps you save paper. Print out the style you like for your classroom. This resource also has a compliment guidelines and character traits. This will help your students get them started with ideas. This handout comes in a color and black & white version. At the end of the last day of school, pass out the cards to your students. They will love them. It’s a great way to promote positive memories within your classroom.

This ice breaker is great to use with all your students for ANY grade! Students fill out “Social Media” styled profiles. It is a great way to learn about your students in an interactive way. This ice breaker can be used in two different ways: Print: • Print out the page and have your students fill in the information and draw pictures. Collaboration: • If your class has access to Chromebooks, iPads or computers you can have your students collaborate on the document. • Share your Google Slide with your class. • At the bottom of each Social Media page is a student number. Assign each student a number. All your students can work on their page all on the same Google Slide at the same time! • This Google Slide is set-up for 30 students!

Go paperless with this digital editable Google Slides. This can be used independently or as a collaborative project for novel study/book study groups. This digital book report covers visuals (the book cover), main characters, setting of the book, book summary, favourite part, a change that the student wants to see in the book and a rating of the book. Each slide comes with instructions for your students. You can have the students print out their digital book report as the resource is set to 8.5 x 11 paper size. Best of all, this resource is available in both printable pdf format as well as a Google Slides editable format. This timeline template allows students to create a timeline with linked information for each event.The timeline page supports 11 events and has the age range of 0 to 17. If you need more events for your timeline, duplicate the slide. Your students are able to click the arrow and point it at the appropriate time. They can also double click the event boxes and write in their description. The template is locked, so your students can’t mistakenly move or delete the background. If you choose to print the PDF, have your students draw the arrows themselves. This resource includes one version with arrows on each event box and one version without any arrows, ready to print.
