A quiz covering the set works by Weelkes, Haydn, Stravinsky, Perkins and Beatles plus some key terms. This is not fully complete as there is an audio section (finding the videos on Youtube) as well as a visual music extract section; I planned to add in a few random bars (in sequence) of a part of each set work for pupils to recognise. This can be easily edited, added to etc. Any feedback would be great, thanks!

Useful for putting landmarks on the vocal set works (Weelkes, Handel, Stravinsky, Beatles and Carl Perkins). Examples include: Cadential 6-4s, first theme appearing, E major chord etc. Pupils can cut these out and stick them on a magnified and/or photocopied score to highlight areas of theoretical interest. Students have cut outs of 1 bar rhythms - teacher plays a particular rhythm - students cross off which one is played. It can also be used with a student demonstrating a rhythm and the students working out which rhythm it is or as a plenary as students are leaving the classroom to choose a rhythm to perform.

A list of questions on the harmony and themes of the Symphony of Psalms: Stravinsky. Cut up each sentence and students find the answer for the question. The amount of points per question determines the difficulty of the question. No answers are provided so students have to show you the answer or prove the answer. Can be used for other elements of the Stravinsky or other elements of the other set works.

A 'Call My Bluff' of Buckley key terms - there are three definitions of certain key terms in Grace. Pupils work out which is the best fit. There are some definitions that pupils can discount straight away; e.g. EQ is not ET's cousin. Other key terms can be used. Useful for a starter for Grace and could be used for a revision aid if the options are harder to discern the difference between.

A worksheet of associating certain instruments with heroes or villains. It doesn't contain any links to tracks but you can use certain film and TV theme tunes to use for associations. For example, Double Bass - Jaws - Villain. Trumpet - Indiana Jones - Hero. Any feedback would be great, thanks!

Used as a plenary for a short performing styles unit based on Blues, Reggae and Acoustic music. Students work out the style of music from the description, for example, this music originated from the Carribean - Reggae.
