The lesson has a task to consolidate understanding before giving three pictures to inspire imaginative descriptive sentence writing. Further ideas for differentiation could include: **More able learners write the opening paragraph of a story using one of the pictures ensuring they use prepositions at the start of some of the sentences. ** Lower ability pupils could use the list of prepositions to write descriptive sentences including prepositions, not necessarily at the start of the sentence
