These charts have been created to allow the students the opportunity to compare WWI, WWII, Spanish Civil War, Russian Civil War, Chinese Civil War and Vietnam War HOWEVER you could change to adapt to suit the wars in which you teach. There is also an opportunity to extend to look at the Arab-Israeli Wars.
There are prompts and different activities for the students to complete the work - opportunities for discussion within groups and as a class.
At least 2 lessons
Revision task, or can complete as the students go through the unit.
Exam practise (paper One) but for the Paper Two content of Causes and effects of war (WWI and the reasons why Germany and her allies lost).
A good way of keeping paper one skills up to date, using content form paper one.
All sources and questions included, generic markscheme to be used when marking.
OR can easily just use it to support the knowledge gained in paper two lessons.
Full worksheet activity with information about historians, documentaries to watch, primary sources to read, essay questions to consider and tasks to complete (4 altogether).
This worksheet is fully developed to allow students to lead their own learning and work through different tasks to answer the question Was Hitler a Planner or a Gambler?

The aims and motives of the Big Three at the Treaty of Versailles
OCR and CIE specific lesson, but could be used for other specs.
A full lesson and set of activities (with linked free downloadable sheets) to complete learning into the Aims and Motives of the Big Three.
This lesson and the topic is part of a standard set of lessons looking into helping students understand the aims and wishes of Woodrow Wilson, Georges Clemenceau and David Lloyd George; it allows students to understand what the ToV was, who was involved, when and why they were involved and why it was so significant. There are links to websites useful for research and many different types of activities to keep students focused and involved in the lesson.

A full pack of lessons focusing on WWI. A great resource for all KS3 students (may be more suitable for lower level KS4 students too) but here is being used as part of my World War One topic - I have other resources connected. Suitable for both British curriculum and the international curriculum. GCSE/ IGCSE/ A Level/ IB.
Attached is a great learning resource - very straight forward and easy to use. Can be used for any exam and as a fantastic supplement to whichever textbook you are using.
Excellent for PGCE students / NQTs / non-specialists as all the work has been done for you.
