What is democracy - important democratic events throughout world / English history
Series of outstanding lessons with differentiated resources for all students to learn about democracy and its impact throughout history.
Monarchy. What is it - comparisson between UK and Japan.
Set of lessons, with differentiated resources all included - will take 3-5 hours so lots to do.
Compares the history and structure of both the British and the Japanese Monarchy, looking at their power and roles in each respective country.
Used currently as an MYP resource, but adapted from IGCSE resources.

This is the fifth in a series of lessons focusing on the Golden Age of Islam. This topic will be looking at the importance of Islam throughout history, ending with study of the Crusades.
This has been developed for KS3 students in mind, but could be adapted for KS2 or even KS4 students.

Malcolm X. Lesson 8 of a new topic focusing on the Black Lives Matter subject, looking in-depth at Civil Rights, Segregation and Persecution of African Americans in History. A great resource for all KS3 students (may be suitable for KS4 students too).
The lesson is fully ready to open and teach as it is. It included activites that involve students reading, listening, discussing and comparing the work of Malcolm X and MLK.
It also asks students to look at the causes and consequences of MLK’s work, and asks them to consider if it did more harm than good.
