A full lesson with videos and activities for students complete.

A very detailed resource, covering at least 3-4 lessons focusing on William and his problems, how he overcame them and how to managed to conquer England.
Starts with source evaluation
Then moves onto a game where the students put themselves in the shoes of William and makes decisions that give them a score.
Then looks at some reading and more sources (included and attached)
Then asks students to act as an advisor and write William a letter (Structure included for less able)
Finally, task 4 asks students to work in groups to produce a documentary about William’s early takeover of England, October-December 1066 (up to and including his coronation on Christmas Day)
