Powering the Rover

(0)
Powering the Rover A Level physics powerpoint on using activity and half life to calculate power for the Mars rover. The powerpoint scaffolds the stages of the calculation, by building up from GCSE knowledge. The final calculations task is with the numbers for an imaginary Pluto rover, it is designed as a challenge, however it has been routinely achievable for my students after success at the previous tasks. Originally created for 25.3 OCR Physics A, observation lesson. Notes on use If content is in a box, it is crucial for student notes and should be copied out or printed in advance of the lesson. Some slides have a star question on them for stretch and challenge. If you have a wide range of ability in your class, the slides can be printed off for students to work at their own pace however, it is important to remove the answers from the slides before printing.
