Breaking News In Bethlehem! A Christmas Musical

(0)
Herod the King loves his bling and holds the sleepy town of Bethlehem in his sparkling fist. Chris Card, chief of the news department, likes an easy life. But strange things start to happen and Chris has to choose between pleasing Herod and broadcasting the truth. This is a musical for Key Stage 2 children. It has parts for up to 30 children and 7 songs. All scores are included in the script, and there are performance tracks and backing tracks for each. Performance time is about 50 minutes. The nativity story is told as the story progresses, and there are themes around media, broadcasting and having courage to stand up to bullies. Tried and tested in venues in Birmingham, this is a real good news story and leaves the audience and cast with a sense of celebration and hope. Performance license is included in the price.
